Jute Mulch Mat Weed Control Roll

Our compostable high-density jute mulch rolls are similar to our mulch mats, but are designed to cover larger areas rather than individual plants. This makes them ideal for small plots, large flower beds, and hedgerows.

Jute mulch rolls protect larger areas of plants and help them thrive by:

Reducing water evaporation
Creating a natural weed barrier
Reducing competition for water and nutrients
Reducing temperature fluctuations in the soil and roots
Supplying plants with the nutrients they need to compost
Helping to deter voracious slugs and snails
Due to its high density, jute takes one to two years to compost, meaning it protects your plants longer! To use, simply roll it out in the direction of plant growth and cut holes in the fabric to plant your seedlings. The rolled jute provides a secure foundation for your seedlings, but if you prefer to stake your seedlings, you can use our compostable bamboo stakes.

Each roll measures 25 meters long by 1 meter wide. The jute is 5mm thick, making it denser than most jute mulch mats.
